Global cases: 663K. US cases: 123K. The numbers are increasing so fast. People are saying the next month is going to be really bad. I think WA is far ahead and we’re closer to hitting the hump than other states. Still, the worst is yet to come, even here.
Sense of smell/taste is getting somewhat better. It’s only at like 10% of normal, so I have to sort of use my imagination when I smell something. Still, so thankful to have something! And I can’t smell poop (dog or human) yet, so that’s kind of nice!
I drove downtown today; there’s no traffic at all. Many stores are boarded up—I’m assuming it’s to prevent vandalism, because so few people are around. Most shops are closed, but groceries and drug stores are open. It’s gotta be terrible for restaurants that mainly do sit-down meals. Gyms. Any business that hasn’t gotten super creative or that relies on customers physically coming in.
